Scouting Report: Anthony Morelli, QB, Penn State
Anthony Morelli could be a dark horse in this draft. The senior from Penn State has a great build and size, the type that scouts and general managers like to see on a quarterback. He also has the arm to throw any pass asked of him. At his alma mater he had decent numbers, especially when you think that Joe Paterno has always been a run-first type of coach. He can do the job; but I’m not sure how well he can do it, and I am not sure if he will be given a chance. However, he is a dark horse in my opinion. Now it is all up to the NFL to see if he comes in or not.
Scouting Report
Pros: Has a great arm and vision.
Cons: He cannot read defenses or blitzes, but that could be because he was never taught too well.
Overall: He has the diamond in the rough feel. He has the skills but we do not know why they were never fully brought out, or were they and he never developed. So many questions, so few teams, will one give him a shot? I think so, in the second day.
