Have you seen Anthony Morelli lately?
Neither has anyone else, save for his Penn State teammates, likely family, girlfriend and security at both University Park and San Antonio airports.
Anthony Morelli skipped Wednesday’s media session inside the Alamo Dome. It was expected he would meet with the media for the first time since the postgame session after the Nittany Lions victory over Temple on Nov. 10.
It’s no secret by now that the relationship between Anthony Morelli and the media is frosty at best.
So does it really come as a shock that Morelli has rarely been heard from in recent weeks?
“I don’t know anything about that,” said Penn State offensive coordinator Galen Hall. “I was told to be here and these were the guys to be here.”
Anthony Morelli was absent from teleconferences during the regular season, including the days leading up to the Ohio State game.
As it stands, Morelli is the only Penn State quarterback to throw for more than 2,000 yards in two seasons, and will lead the Nittany Lions (8-4) into Saturday’s contest against the Texas A&M Aggies (7-5), his final game as a collegiate quarterback.
Hall was asked later on what it says for Anthony Morelli’s character that he hasn’t talked to the media since November.
“I don’t know, I mean you guys can write what you want,” Hall said. “He is a leader and he is the leader of our football team. He plays very well for us. He has a lot of pressure on him and I think he has handled it very well.”

Morelli has passed for 2,508 yards and 18 touchdowns this season. He ranks in the top five all-time in six different passing categories as a starter.”
